• Eye for Energy provides info and runs conferences for the energy industry, with a focus on Houston, TX; UK (North Sea) and Amsterdam, NL.

• The American Petroleum Institute - Founded in 1919, API is the primary trade association for over 300 corporations associated with the petroluem industry, and its website is a comprehensive resource. If you're looking for names, API also has local chapters (e.g., see API Houston which has a list of many useful industry association links, and the API Delta chapter has a good links list, too) and committees (e.g., PIDX)

• Instituto Mexicano del Petroleo - the Mexican Institute of Petroleum (note, this website is all in Spanish)
• Instituto Nacional de Petróleo - INP is the petroleum institute of Mozambique (Africa).
