Travel Recommendations if Flying in | About the Instructor | Course Agenda
We recommend you fly in the night before your seminar date. Any downtown-area Boston hotel is recommended, as it is only a 10-15 minute taxi cab or subway (MBTA Red Line) ride to Boston Globe headquarters in Dorchester, Mass. If no rooms are available, staying slightly south of Boston should be less expensive and might be an even shorter trip to the Globe building. The nearest airport is Boston's Logan Airport, served by all major airlines, though many folks prefer the convenience of Worcester Airport, which is served by the airlines listed here. Both airports are run by Massport, the Massachusetts state transportation authority. If you are not renting a car, both airports have taxicabs standing by, or one can be summoned with sufficient notice by the concierge at your hotel. You should allow 45 minutes to get from Logan Airport to the Globe during rush hours, or about 20 minutes at off-peak times. It is about a 85-minute ride to the Globe from Worcester Airport during rush hours, or about 65 minutes at off-peak times. However, we recommend allocating more time from either location to be safe, as road construction or delays due to inclement weather, traffic accidents, etc., can lengthen these time estimates. Other popular choices for hotels (especially if you are flying into Logan Airport) are ones in the city-scenic Back Bay section of Boston, such as Boston Marriott-Copley Place, Westin Hotel-Copley Place, etc. If you have further questions about travel or hotels, contact Recruiting-Online.com. We look forward to seeing you!
